Prestige Beauty Line Petite 'n Pretty Aims to Fuel Kids' Creativity
For decades, kids have been fascinated with their mom's makeup stash. Depending on how old they might be, it's not uncommon to find little ones wreaking absolute havoc on shadow palettes, going all out with bright blush, and getting lipstick, well, everywhere. Now, a new makeup line, based in Los Angeles, aims to arm budding beauty artists with their own kid-friendly products. Earlier this month, Samantha Cutler launched her prestige beauty brand Petite 'n Pretty with a summery, glittery party at The Beverly Hills Hotel, attended by stars like Ashlee Simpson Ross, her husband Evan Ross, and their daughter Jagger Snow Ross and TV personality Kyle Richards with her daughter Portia Umansky.
The fun, playful vibe of the event fit the mission of the brand, which aims to "empower young creatives to explore, express and embrace their individuality with products developed just for them" and "inspire the next generation to redefine pretty in their own terms and prove that although petite, their big imaginations should never be underestimated."
The line's debut products—like the 10k Shine Lip Gloss, the sheer 9021-Glow! Eye and Cheek Palette, and Gen Glitter, an iridescent hair and body glitter—range in price from $16 to $34.
“I’ve always been make-up obsessed, and from a young age, utilized beauty products to express my individuality and creativity,” said Petite ‘n Pretty Founder, Samantha Cutler. “Petite ‘n Pretty is creating a new essential category of beauty that encourages self-exploration and inclusivity. I’m thrilled to debut a brand with products that will spark the imagination of the influencers of tomorrow and encourage them to lead the sparkle revolution.”
The line also has several other pluses going for it. The products are all nut-free and cruelty-free, as well as pediatrician, ophthalmologist, and dermatologist approved. And the messaging is inclusive. One of the brand's slogans is "Pretty Is For Everyone," and the site notes that the products are for persons of all genders, shapes, and colors. And their "Redefining Pretty" campaign celebrates the beauty in individuality.
All in all, Petite 'n Pretty clearly fills a void for glitter lovers, both young and old.
