Q: I am looking to replace my frying pans. Which kind of pan works best and is the healthiest to use?

A: In terms of healthfulness, both for your family and the environment, I would go with a "green" nonstick pan. These new nonstick pans have a coating made of all natural ingredients, unlike nonstick pans of the past which have come under fire for their allegedly toxic coating. These pans require very little oil for cooking, making them a great choice for your waistline as well. Keep in mind, not everything should be cooked in a nonstick pan. If you are looking to sear and put some "color" on your food, then I would recommend adding an 18/10 stainless steel fry or sauté pan to your collection.
