7 Virtual Galentine's Day Ideas for Celebrating with Your Mom Friends
Every February 14, showy displays of romantic love are made through greeting cards, candy hearts, and fancy dinners. But thanks to fictional Parks and Recreation character Leslie Knope, there's an adjacent holiday that both single and attached moms can celebrate. Ever since the premiere of a 2010 episode in which Amy Poehler's character gathered a group of GFs for brunch, February 13 has been deemed Galentine's Day. The "fake holiday" is now being recognized as fully real.
That said, given the pandemic, it might be tough to do like Leslie and grab waffles with your best mom friends for Galentine's Day 2021. But we rounded up equally as fun gifts and activities to make the day special even while social distancing.
1. Decorate and Do Cookie Shots

2. Give a Gift With a Personalized Video Message
If you want to treat your GFs to a individualized shopping experience, you might consider GiftCast, which delivers money gifts and Amazon eGift Cards along with a "memory" in the form of a personalized video message. It's not quite the same as being able to hit up the mall together, but it's still truly sentimental and sweet.
3. Throw a Flower-Arranging Party
Another crafty idea: build beautiful bouquets with your GFs over Zoom with the help of Poppy. Just provide the DC-based floral startup with the bouquet you want to create and your guest list, and they'll ship out BYO floral arrangement kits as well as invitations. You can even get a Poppy florist to lead the group through the arranging process. Shop here
