Disney World: Explore Fantasyland

Magic Kingdom is so large that it has themed areas within the park. Jenna Helwig, Parents food editor, shares the highlights of the recently expanded Fantasyland, including Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and It's a Small World.

[MUSIC]. Recently, my husband and my seven year old daughter and I visited Magic Kingdom Park at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. We also brought along my parents for some extra family fun. One of our favorite sections of Magic Kingdom was Fantasyland. Recently expanded, this part of the park is dedicated to the characters from some of Disney's most beloved stories. We had three favorite rides. First was Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid. We sat in a giant clam shell and experienced a musical retelling of the classic story. We also like the Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride. We sat in a flying elephant and my daughter got to control how high or low we flew. The best part, this ride is now twice the size making for shorter wait times. Finally, we enjoyed It's a Small World. We cruised on large boats past 300 traditionally dressed figures from around the globe as the classic song played. This ten minute ride may be an oldie, but it's still a goodie. Thanks to these rides Fantasyland was one of our favorite parts of Magic Kingdom park. [MUSIC]
