Get ready for the Build-A-Bear exclusive that is worthy of clearing your schedule for. The DIY stuffed-animal workshop/retailer is holding Pay Your Age Day on July 12th only. The one-day-deal allows any customer to pay their age for any (Yes, ANY!) plush animal in-store—and if you didn’t notice, Build-A-Bear isn’t cheap. This is one sale you DON’T want to miss.
Just for the record, Build-A-Bear confirmed that anyone is eligible for the deal as long as they are present in-store that day. The offer only applies to one Make-Your-Own furry friend—that means outfits, sounds, accessories, and scents are not included in the deal. This discount cannot be included with any other offers either—because, let’s not push it.
On July 12th, anyone over the age of 18 is encouraged to sign up for Build-A-Bear’s Bonus Club to help the check-out process run smoothly. Although this should be handled online beforehand (because the retailer wants check-out lines to move efficiently) you can sign up in person the day of the sale, too.
This amazing deal does come with an adult-friendly cut-off. According to People.com, anyone over the age of 29 will not be required to pay more than $29 on any Build-A-Bear.
"We have overwhelming data that indicates Build-A-Bear is synonymous with childhood, and nearly one-third of our sales are associated with birthdays," said Sharon Price John, president and chief executive officer, Build-A-Bear Workshop in a press release. "We 'heart' birthdays at Build-A-Bear, so we're hosting the Pay Your Age Day to launch our year-round 'Count Your Candles' offer for Guests celebrating a birthday with us in stores—an experience we designed especially to commemorate birthdays in a memorable way."
This new birthday incentive allows kids ages 14 and under to receive a Birthday Treat bear on their birthday for the same price as their age.
All-in-all, birthdays just got a little more exciting for little ones everywhere. We have the feeling people are going to take advantage of this yearly treat by celebrating the Build-A-Bear way. Here's to high-demand discounted stuffed animals all around!
