The already critically-acclaimed documentary Won't You Be My Neighbor? hits theaters this summer.
The beloved, timeless children's show Mister Rogers hit its 50th anniversary this year, and in turn, audiences are being treated to a stunning display of love for the man behind the game-changing program. Tom Hanks will star as Rogers in the upcoming biopic You Are My Friend. Rogers is also receiving his own USPS stamp. And this Friday, June 8th, a new Focus Features documentary about Fred Rogers called Won't You Be My Neighbor? is hitting select theaters, and the trailer is already getting us a bit teary-eyed.
Just one day since being posted to YouTube, the clip has already racked up over a million views and thousands of comments from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood fans who can't wait to see the film. One wrote, "OMG!!!! 😭 This brings me back!! 💓👏😘 This movie will have me in tears!! This trailer is too much!! 💓" Another said, "This brought back so many childhood memories for me. Love Mr. Rogers and he was an amazing entertainer and person. I miss him."
