Each kid (that's Owen in the left) got a homemade horse, cowboy hat, sheriff's badge, and bandanna.
It's so easy (and cheap) to make a garland with knotted bandanas.
Danyelle's sister-in-law, Alicia, whipped up this cowboy boot-shaped dessert for the occasion.
When the kids arrived, they each got to wear their own hat, bandana, and sheriff's badge.
Each kid got a homemade bag to collect the pinata candy. Danyelle replaced the basic drawstring of a cotton bag with twine and used Heat n' Bond (5-yard roll, $6.50), an iron-on adhesive, to create bandanna decals.
After racing around, the kids needed an appropriate refreshment -- root beer!
Along with the pinata candy, guests took home bags of trail mix sealed with a homemade sticker.
