This lotsa lollies cake is lots of fun to make using your favorite cake mixes and can frosting. It's so easy to make and decorate that you can let the kids join in on the fun. First, let's use a long, serrated knife to carefully trim the tops of two prepared 9-inch cake layers. Make each layer as level as possible. And then trim two prepared 6-inch cake layers. Place one 9-inch cake layer on a serving platter. Remove the top section. Then, spread the top with vanilla frosting. You'll need a total of two 16-ounce cans of vanilla frosting for the entire cake. Stack the second 9-inch layer on top and remove its top. Then, spread a thin layer of frosting on the top. Next, place one 6-inch cake layer on a 6-inch cardboard circle. Remove the top slice and frost the top of the layer. Add the second 6-inch cake layer and spread a thin layer of frosting on the top. Place both cakes in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes. While the cakes are chilling, use a small tube of chocolate frosting to pipe a message on to a large lollipop. Now that the cakes are chilled, smoothly frost the sides. Hitting your spatula and hot water will make the frosting appear smoother. Next, carefully center the smaller cake on top of the larger cake without its cardboard base. Cover the seam with more frosting. Now, use a colorful variety of small lollipops to decorate the cake. And finally, insert the large piped lollipop into the center of the cake. To serve this cake, start by cutting slices from the small layer first. Make sure each person gets a couple of lollipops.
