This funky, fringed fashion accessory can be made in a flash from two or three adult-size tees.

By Debra Immergut

1. Lay the T-shirts flat.

2. With sharp scissors, cut through both the front and back of each shirt to make 6-inch wide strips.

3. Cut through the side seams of each strip, then snip 4-inch- long fringe at the ends.

4. Join two strips by knotting their fringe together as shown at right. Repeat, adding strips until the scarf is long enough to double up and hang loosely around the neck. Knot the free ends together to create a loop.
