Make a constellation of paper stars with which to decorate your house, as featured in the June/July 2012 issue of FamilyFun magazine.
You and your kids can turn scrapbook paper into beautiful paper stars. Fold the paper diagonally both ways, then flip it over and fold it edge to edge. Measure about 2-1/2 inches in, and then cut along the lines. Fold in the flaps to make triangles. It helps to be precise, but don't worry if things don't match up perfectly. Glue stick one flap over the other to make them 3D. You might need to fiddle with the folds a little bit. Make a second star. Add a knotted string, and keep it there with a drop of glue. Hold the stars together and see where they touch. Then, add some glue and then press them back together. Now, you can make a whole collection for your own constellation.
