10 Kid-Friendly Snacks that are Good for Them Too!

Looking for fun, wholesome snacks your kids will actually eat? We’ve got ‘em! From sweet, savory, creamy, and crunchy, there’s something to satisfy even the pickiest snacker.

PB and Apple Sammies

PB and Apple Sammies. Core an apple and slice across to form round apple slices. Spread half the slices with peanut butter and served open-faced, or sprinkle with granola and top with remaining apple slices to make mini sandwiches.

Fiesta of Fun Dip. Heat up fat-free refried beans, stir in your favorite salsa, and top with shredded cheese. Serve with red and green pepper strips for dipping.

Game Day Recipe

Confetti Nachos. Mix black beans with corn, chopped avocado, and chopped tomato. Serve over tortilla chips.
 
Bunny Chips. Slice peeled carrots into thin chips. Toss with olive oil, salt, and cinnamon. Spread out on a sheet pan and bake at 425 degrees F until edges start to curl (about 12 minutes). Flip chips over and bake until crispy (about 5 minutes more).

Fizzy Sipper. If your kids love 100% fruit juice, try this fizzy, fruity drink. Party Peas. Rinse and drain chickpeas and pat dry. Toss with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt, and spread out on a sheet pan. Bake at 400 degrees F until chickpeas are crispy and golden brown (about 30 minutes).

Frozen Blueberry Bites. Dip fresh blueberries into blueberry or strawberry Greek yogurt. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 1-2 hours. Eat right away or put in baggies and store in the freezer.

Green Deviled Eggs. Replace the yolks in hard boiled eggs with mashed avocado mixed with a splash of lime and a sprinkle of cumin. If desired, spice up the tops with a dash of chili powder.
