Where Does a Modern Girl Scout Sell Cookies? On YouTube, Of Course

Who can resist the sweet face of a Girl Scout selling cookies? First, Thin Mints are delicious. Second, it's tough to say no to a kid working hard. But trudging door to door to hit up family, friends, and neighbors with that cookie spiel is just so inefficient, and Mom and Dad will only push the order form at the office for so long. So, what's a modern Girl Scout to do? Make a YouTube video, of course.

For girls who have grown up never knowing a world without Google, using the Internet to sell their one-of-a-kind cookies (did I mention Thin Mints are delicious?) is soooo obvi. Girl Scouts across the country have been making DIY commercials and posting them on YouTube to boost cookie sales for the last several years. Some simply film themselves doing their basic cookie spiel while others get super creative, singing, dancing, or just being silly.

The Scouts encourage the girls to think of the cookie sales as running a small business, so I think it's great these little ladies are aware how important marketing and advertising are to being successful. Look out for them on Madison Avenue in about 2025.

In case you were wondering how amazing these girls are in front of the camera, check out this video of 9-year-old Bella, who has been making these videos for four years:
