Baby Names and Google

The New York Times ran another article about baby names last weekend. This time, they talked about the Googleability (I made up that word) of names.

The premise, basically, is that parents are now looking online to see how popular their potential name is and who their baby will share it with before using it. To me, that seems like a big "duh." I guess I assumed that at this point, everyone was Googling before naming, but apparently not -- according to a small LilSugar study, only 64 percent of parents do.

What do you think? Did you/will you Google before naming? Do you prefer a more popular name, or do you want your baby to be the only one with his or her name?
