How can I get my 11 week old to sleep in her crib again?
Q: I have an 11 week old little girl and when she was born she would sleep in the little crib that the hospital had but since taking her home she hasn't wanted to sleep in her crib at all. She did for about a week or two but after that stopped and will cry whenever she is in her crib. I've even tried waiting 20 minutes after she goes to sleep to lay her in her crib but she still immediately wakes up crying. What can I do to get her to sleep in her crib at night?
A: Sometimes little ones find the crib to be overwhelmingly vast. Therefore, try placing her in the crib so that she is up in one corner with her arm against one side of the crib and her head up near the headboard. Second, if she is having any problems with reflux and sleeps better in an inclined position, you can put the legs of the head of her crib up on bricks or put a wedge under her crib mattress.
