There have been many Christmas pregnancy reveals. But how many families can say they experienced a real baby reveal during the holiday season? Well, one mom has put the pregnancy-test/ultrasound-photo-wrapped-as-a-gift idea to shame. Indeed, Courtney Solstad decided to go all out this year. She actually pulled off surprising her three daughters with an adopted baby brother, who she placed under the tree for his new big sisters as a "present!"
"The girls knew nothing about Nathan until this. We met them at the door and told them that we had been out Christmas shopping and got them a gift to share..." Solstad wrote on her Facebook page. She also posted a video of the sweet, and very emotional surprise.
"That's your new baby brother," Solstad tells the girls, who are alternately crying and jumping up and down with glee when they spot the baby under the tree.
"What do you think?" she asks, although it's clear from their excitement they can barely contain themselves!
"He's so sweet," mumbles one of the girls in awe.
You never actually get to see the new addition in the video, but from the girls' reactions, we know he's as cute as can be. They are soon clamoring to hold him, and like a dutiful new mom, Solstad says, "Wash your hands."
Now, here's hoping Christmas isn't a let down now that these kids already "opened" the best gift of all!
