Thought-Provoking Song Imagines Life 'If Daddies Made Milk'
If daddies nursed babies instead of mommies, the world might look something like this...
I know I'm not the first woman to think about how men have the easy way out when it comes to parenting. I mean, we carry the babies, deliver them, and nurse them, while daddies um, do none of that stuff.
Well recently, Shayna Ferm from a comedy show called "The Pump and Dump" imagined what is would be like "If Daddies Made Milk." And according to her, life would look very, very different from our current reality.
You can watch a Facebook video of Ferm performing her song, where you will learn that if daddies did indeed make milk, she believes nursing would be an Olympic sport "to measure how far their nipples could squirt." Ferm croons that refrigerators and comfortable benches would also line our streets.
"Paternity leave would be three years long," another lyric says, and Ferm also sings about how nipple cream would be paid for by the government!
Of course, this take on what the world would look like if daddies breastfed instead of moms is funny, but also thought-provoking. Because when you consider Ferm's lyrics, nursing moms could use a lot more support and encouragement.

I'm not sure we'll ever see couches lining the streets. And I'm not sure I'd want to see an Olympic breast milk squirting event, but maybe that's just me. Either way, better family leave policies are certainly possible, no?
Now if only we could actually get daddies to carry the babies...
