The Latest Baby Pic Craze on Instagram Is Just Plain Peachy

Photos of babies with adorable peach butts are going viral on Instagram.

There's a new baby pic trend taking over Instagram. Peach butts. As in parents posting pictures on Instagram with peaches covering their babies' bare bottoms.

Get it? Because, in case you haven't noticed, peaches actually do look like babies' butts, you guys!

And while I know there are going to be people out there who just hate this idea, these images seem pretty adorable and innocent to me, and—I can't help it—they totally make me smile.

So how did this whole thing get started anyway?

Apparently, Japanese photo-printing company Kodomono launched a social media campaign challenging Instagrammers to post creative baby pics. After one poster had the awesome idea to share an image of herself holding up the piece of fruit over her baby's bum, others quickly began to follow suit.

Of course, the idea took off, and now tiny peach tushies are popping up all over the Internet as other parents co-opt the idea and share their own peachy pics using the hashtag 桃尻—which, according to Buzzfeed—means "peach."

I don't speak Japanese, so I'm just gonna go ahead and take their word for it. But I did decide to search the hashtag to see what it would turn up.

Score!

There was the "Lemme Outta Here!" baby-gate peach butt:

The "Who, ME?" peach butt:

The" Just Standing Here Watching TV Naked" peach butt:

The "Totally Bikini Ready" peach butt:

The "Double Trouble" peach butt:

The "Awesome Threesome" peach butt:

And finally, our hands-down fave, "Classy 'Stachey" peach butt!

Are you sold yet?

Sadly, this trend doesn't seem to have made it over to America just yet, but we think the time is, well, ripe.
