Sweet Photos Show Parents Meeting Adopted Baby Daughter for the First Time
You can practically feel the love in these powerful photos.
Sarah Olson says she always knew she wanted to have three children. She and husband David have two sons, but after struggling to conceive again—including two "brutal" pregnancies—the couple decided adoption was the best route to a family of five.
Just this past week, the parents learned a baby girl was ready to join their family.

With little time to prepare, and after a longer-than-expected trip due to delays, the Olsons finally made it from Minnesota to Tampa, Florida to meet their daughter. Minnesota-based photographer Kristen Prosser, a friend of the couple's, traveled with them to document the emotional meeting in a series of stunning images.
David describes the moment they laid eyes on little Tilly Pearl this way:
"We walked into the room expecting to meet our baby, but it was empty. The charge nurse was busy and couldn't bring her down yet. Another wait. Those 20 minutes may have been hours. But the time came and she was rolled in. As soon as we saw her, our hearts felt complete. There are no words to describe it. How to you explain love for a human you just met? That is the power of adoption. We prayed and prayed for this baby to come into our lives, and that time had finally come. Within 30 hours of receiving the call, we were holding our baby girl. Such a surreal moment."
He goes on to explain the meaning of the baby name they picked. "Tilly means 'Strength through adversity.' We have a deep connection with that statement. Pearl means 'a precious thing, the finest example of something.'"

Um, please tell me I'm not the only one crying right now? How gorgeous are these images that convey a love story more powerful than anything Disney could produce? It's almost like you can feel the love and joy emanating from the photos.
Congratulations to the Olsons, and their adorable new addition, Tilly. According to Prosser, the baby girl is already winning over her big brothers, which is no surprise given how easily she won me over with just a few photographs.
