See This Mom & Dad of Triplets Face Off in a Diaper-Changing Challenge
It's Mom vs. Dad in the Battle of the Diaper Change. Who will emerge victorious?
Remember that episode of Friends when Phoebe babysits her brother's triplets in Monica's apartment?
No? Well then here's a quick refresher: She's in the middle of changing the babies when she accidentally knocks over a vase. She stops to quickly clean up the mess—because "Let's face it, we're at Monica's"—and when she turns back around, one of the babies is missing.
We still love you, Phoebe. After all, having triplets is hard. And changing three diapers at once? Pretty much impossible.
Or is it?
Meet Desiree and Ryan Fortin, parents to 7-and-a-half-month-old triplets Charlize, Sawyer, and Jax. The Fortins were so confident in their diaper-changing skills that they decided to face off in a parent to parent diaper-changing battle to see which one of them could change all three of their sons the quickest.
"She's going down," Ryan says in the resulting video that they later uploaded to YouTube.
"No, that's not what's gonna happen," Desiree interjects. "The truth is, I'm the one who changes more diapers..."
"I'm more efficient at it," Ryan fires back. "I would destroy you any day. When there's money's on the line..."
"There's no money," Desiree counters. "We all know that Mommy will win, because Mommy is the queen of diaper changing."
And then we're off to the races, treated to side by side sped-up clips of mom and dad competing against time, each other, and their three unpredictable little tots to see who, in fact, will take home the prize. Which I'm pretty sure was only bragging rights. But still.
While it's hard to see what's actually going on in the clips, Desiree later told Inside Edition that the trickiest part of the challenge for her was the straps on the diapers.
Sidebar: I know it's been a long time since I changed a diaper, but...they come with straps now?
Ryan, meanwhile, got tripped up by the onesie buttons. And even though one of the babes started wailing on mom's side mid-challenge, Desiree still managed to bring home the win.

Or as she put it on Inside Edition: "Mommy kicked some butt!"
But while the battle may have been won, the war, apparently, is far from finished. "My husband is always up for a challenge," Desiree explained. "He's like, 'It's not over, babe.'"
Which means I'm sure we can look forward to more "Mommy vs. Daddy" face-off videos with the adorable Fortin Trio on their YouTube channel!
