Australian fit mom Chontel Duncan takes a photo with the same friend from the bump-to-bump image, 11 weeks later.
Remember Chontel Duncan from the infamous bump-to-bump photo comparing her itty-bitty baby belly and a friend's much more substantial tummy at about the same point in their pregnancies? The viral image wowed the Internet with just how differently pregnancy affected each woman.
Well, now Chontel has posted a new side-by-side image of herself with the same friend 11 weeks later, but now their babies are on the outside of their mamas' bellies!
Had a lovely surprise visit from Nat & baby Charlie. Omg his baby blue eyes are so beautiful. Wish I could have cuddled & kissed him but I'm not 100% well yet (hence my rank face). Two healthy incredible pregnancies & now two healthy baby boys.
"Two healthy incredible pregnancies & now two healthy baby boys," the Australian first-time mom captioned the Instagram photo that shows she and Nat, who has two older children, holding their precious little ones.
Of course, we all can see there's something else being compared beyond those adorable new babies: the two moms' post-baby bodies. And predictably, Chontel, who works out for a living, looks like she never had a baby, while her friend looks more like a "normal" mama who just had a baby. No offense to the friend! My "after" photo would be closer to Nat's than Chontel's, as would most women's!
Interesting image to be sure, but as I'm not a huge fan of comparing my body to those of others, these photos kind of irk me. I guess as long as Nat is cool with these side-by-side images, then whatever, right?
Meanwhile, don't expect this fit mom to go away any time soon. I predict we can expect more images like this one to pop up in the future, as Chontel told People magazine, "If all goes well, I plan to fall pregnant again this year."
