There are certain truths parents simply know all too well, and one of those is that flying with a newborn is no picnic. Flying with a newborn for 10 hours to Europe, well, that's a whole different level of stressful. But it seems like two dads who were bringing their 18-day-old daughter home did everything they possibly could to ensure that their L.O. wouldn't disturb other passengers. And their sweet efforts were noticed and praised by none other than Niall Horan, formerly of One Direction.
Horan took to Twitter to share a photo of the goody bag that the fathers passed out aboard the flight. They included a note, which read, "Hi Stranger My name is Marit. I’m 18 days old. I’m flying home to europe with my dads. This is my first flight ever. I will do my utmost to be on my best behaviour to ensure you have a peaceful flight. I would like to apologize in advance if – I for any reason loose my cool, my temper, my ears hurt or my tummy gets fussy. I think my dads are more nervous than I am so they made you this goodiebag. Have a great flight."
In his tweet, Horan sung the dads'—and Marit's—praises. "Had the coolest little goodie bag on the plane with this letter enclosed," the musician wrote. "Marit was quiet as a mouse for 10 hours. Goodluck to both dads."
Unsurprisingly, the tweet has gone mega-viral, wracking up more than 45K retweets and 227K likes.
Another Twitter user shared a different photo that offered a glimpse at some of the candies and other supplies—ear plugs, Wet Ones—the dads provided in the bag.
Of course this isn't the first time parents have passed out goody bags aboard a flight, as it's actually become quite a trend. Although parents shouldn't necessarily feel compelled to apologize for their babies being, well, babies, it's undoubtedly a lovely gesture. One that, it appears, may even win you accolades from a pop star!
