Mommy-Shamers Attack Pink for Her Real-Life Baby-Wearing Moment

The singer caught some heat on Instagram when she posted a photo of herself wearing baby Jameson while cooking dinner over the stove.

This week, a simple Instagram post landed star mom Pink in hot water, so to speak.

The mama to 7-month-old Jameson and 6-year-old Willow shared a photo of herself cooking over the stove and wearing her son in a baby carrier, while big sis is perched on the counter nearby. Of course, instead of seeing a hardworking, multi-tasking mom, mommy-shamers were quick to jump on Pink over safety concerns.

"Cute photo but please don't cook wearing the baby. I've read some really horrific stories about terrible accidents that have occurred doing this," one commenter chided the star. Another said, "I babywear all the time except when I'm cooking hot meals. The better alternative, I suppose if you really must, would be wearing the baby on your back. Not directly facing the hot stove."

But some commenters came to the mama's defense with posts like, "Multi tasking at is finest," and "You do what you gotta do! Feeding your family and spending time together, everyone looks happy. This picture looks like winning to me!" Another commenter also piped in with, "Geez people, she's not frying chicken! Don't you think she has enough sense to know what she's doing?"

Look, obviously cooking and baby-wearing are not a match made in heaven. So in an ideal world, this isn't something moms should be doing. That being said, Pink is cooking a homemade meal, with her kids, and that's pretty impressive, too. So we should all give this awesome mama a break, stop mommy-shaming and judging, and get back to our own lives. Which I'm willing to bet aren't perfect either! I know mine sure isn't!
