LOL Video Shows New Dad Comforting Imaginary Baby in His Sleep

A completely awesome video of a dad pantomiming comforting his baby in his sleep is the most adorable, and hilarious thing you will see all day.

The short piece of footage was shared on America's Funniest Home Videos, and shows the snoozing new daddy passed out on a recliner, and reacting to his newborn crying nearby by patting the air, and also bouncing the imaginary baby in his arms.

In the next chair, his wife holds the real baby and laughs her butt off.

Pretty much every parent who remembers the foggy early days after welcoming a baby is laughing right along with her. Not at the dad, but with him.

I remember right after my first daughter was born, I drove to pick up a friend at the airport, and I honestly did not remember one second of the trip once I arrived. Pretty scary. At least this dad was suffering from new-parent sleep deprivation in the safety of a comfy chair in his own home.

Aside from the humor, what I love about this moment caught on tape is that it clearly shows how much this sweet, sleeping papa loves his newborn. Even in his dreams, he is totally focused on caring for the little one.

Meanwhile, here's hoping that it is the mom's turn to doze off soon!
