Anytime a Kardashian or Jenner welcomes a kiddo into the world, it's time to stop the presses—or perhaps, in 2018, more like time to hop on Twitter. But Khloé Kardashian's first child has made even more headlines than the usual reality star baby, as the baby girl's arrival came in the midst of major relationship drama between Khloé and boyfriend Tristan Thompson. The Cleveland Cavaliers player was rumored to be cheating on Khloé in the days leading up to the birth. Now that we've learned the baby's name: True Thompson, fans want further explanation—not only about the baby's last name (which could signal that the couple is staying together) but her unique first one, as well.

It's no surprise that Khloé went with an unusual first name for her baby girl, as that's the Kardashian-Jenner way, right? But matriarch Kris Jenner shed some light on the significance. Turns out, True is a family name!

Kris took to Instagram on Monday, April 16 to share, "I’m so excited to welcome my precious little granddaughter True!!! FUN FACT... my Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Dad’s name was Robert True i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!"

So, it's a massive tribute to Kris' side of the fam! How sweet—not to mention fitting, as Khloé is notably close with her mom and has always been especially family-oriented. InStyle points out that Kris tagged @true, which appears to be the newborn's brand-new IG account. Hey, makes sense when you're born into this fam!

As for the baby's last name? “Khloé still very much loves Tristan, and this baby is one half his,” a source tells PEOPLE. "True is their child together. Giving the baby his last name was never in question."

There you have it. True Thompson, welcome to the world!
