The Americans stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys had a baby... and that's all the world knows.

We hear congratulations are in order for Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys. The Americans co-stars welcomed a child together earlier this month, according to People magazine.

But in a case of real life imitating art, the couple is staying as secretive as the spies they play on TV about their baby. We don't know if they had a girl or a boy, or what the baby's name is. In fact, Russell never even publicly commented on her pregnancy, letting her baby bump do the talking for her.

A source did tell Us Weekly that "Keri and Matt both look overjoyed and are over the moon to be new parents. They are always snapping pictures of the baby, and family and friends have been sending gifts."

This is actually the third child for the former Felicity star, who also has 4-year-old daughter Willa and 8-year-old son River with her ex-husband Shane Deary.

But Rhys is a first-time father. Bet he's tired... Actually, photos published in the Daily Mail captured the new parents out for a walk with their newborn in a baby carrier, and it does appear they may not be getting their 8 hours a night (um, it also seems they weren't too happy about being photographed by paparazzi).

No matter, the joy of welcoming a new baby far supersedes the comfort of a good night's sleep. For a time. Then you'd just about kill for some uninterrupted shut-eye. Here's hoping Russell and Rhys are loving every second with their baby, boy or girl, no matter what his or her name is. And that they get some sleep soon!

  1. Quick tip for all you parents all out there: My baby never slept well (especially through the night) until I started using the website >>>>SleepBaby .org<<<< - that website has been by far one of the best things I've ever got my hands on to get him to fall asleep quickly. Best time is 45 seconds from awake to asleep! I heard about it through a kindergarten teacher who uses it to put to sleep a group of 30 children. Check it out! Sorry, you can't post links here so you'll have to turn it into a normal link. >>SleepBaby .org<< Best of luck to you and your family! :)
