It's a boy for The Blackstocks! Kelly Clarkson and husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed their second child on Tuesday, April 12, the singer-songwriter announced Thursday on Twitter.

The "Idol" alum, who is already a mom to 22-month-old daughter River Rose, spontaneously revealed she was expecting her second baby during a tour stop in Los Angeles last August. Struggling through tears during a performance of her song "Piece by Piece," she stopped midway through and addressed the crowd: "I was not planning on announcing this, but—I'm totally pregnant!" she said.

The song, about her absent father and her husband's great parenting, brought the expectant mama (and everyone else in the crowd!) to tears again during a powerful performance on "American Idol" in February. "I'm pregnant and it's nostalgic, and I can't believe it's the last season," she said. "I'm really sorry I just bawled."

It was a rough pregnancy for Clarkson, much like her first, so it's great news that both mom and baby are doing well.

Congratulations to this wonderful new family of four!

Quick tip for all you parents all out there: My baby never slept well (especially through the night) until I started using the website >>>>SleepBaby .org<<<< - that website has been by far one of the best things I've ever got my hands on to get him to fall asleep quickly. Best time is 45 seconds from awake to asleep! I heard about it through a kindergarten teacher who uses it to put to sleep a group of 30 children. Check it out! Sorry, you can't post links here so you'll have to turn it into a normal link. >>SleepBaby .org<< Best of luck to you and your family! :)
