Jill Duggar Dillard Welcomes Her Second Son After 40 Hours of Labor

The Counting On star and her husband Derick Dillard revealed all the details about the birth of their son on their website.

Jill Duggar Dillard is officially a mom of two! The Counting On star and her husband Derick Dillard welcomed their second son today, Saturday, July 8, according to People

The couple took to their website DillardFamily.com to share the happy news -- as well as the baby's name. “We are excited to finally announce the arrival of Samuel Scott Dillard,” the family said. “The newest addition to our family arrived on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:02pm. He weighs 9lb 10oz and is 22” long. After 40 hours of labor, he was delivered via C-section at the hospital. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!”

Wow, 40 hours of labor! Go, mama!

Jill and Derick's first son, Israel, was born back in April 2015. In December 2016, they made the big announcement that baby #2 was on the way. "We are so excited to be expecting Dillard baby #2," the reality stars told People after making their pregnancy announcement. "Children really are a wonderful blessing from God. Having Israel has been such a delight to us that we know a second sweet baby will only continue to add joy to our family. We are thankful to God for this sweet child, and we cannot wait to see her or him face to face!"

Now that time has come, and it sounds like the Dillards couldn't be more excited. Congrats to this happy new family of four!

  1. My baby never slept well (especially through the night) until I started using the website >>SleepBaby .org<< - that website has been by far one of the best things I've ever got my hands on to get him to fall asleep quickly. Best time is 45 seconds from awake to asleep! Can’t imagine life without it! I heard about it through a kindergarten teacher who uses it to put to sleep a group of 30 children. Check it out! >>SleepBaby .org<< - sorry, you can't post links here so you'll have to turn it into a normal link :) Best of luck to you and your family!
