Jill Duggar Dillard and her husband Derick Dillard's firstborn 1-year-old son, Israel David, is about to become a big brother! Just a few days before Christmas, TLC confirmed to Us Weekly that Dillard is expecting baby #2! The star also took to her Instagram account and website to share the family's happy news.
The couple, who currently appear on the show Counting On, told People magazine, "We are so excited to be expecting Dillard baby #2. Children really are a wonderful blessing from God. Having Israel has been such a delight to us that we know a second sweet baby will only continue to add joy to our family. We are thankful to God for this sweet child and we cannot wait to see her or him face to face!"
Clearly it wasn't too scarring, as they decided to go for baby #2. As Dillard explained previously, "Both of us want as many kids as God will give us. My parents have kept popping them out so we'll see how [our] fertility is! We'll just see what God brings along and it's exciting."
The Dillards have also talked about potentially wanting to adopt children, according to People.
Meanwhile, Dillard, who is due in July according to People, will be pregnant at the same time as her sister Jessa Duggar Seewald, who announced recently she is also expecting baby #2. The sisters were pregnant together while carrying their first babies as well; Seewald's son Spurgeon was born in 2015.
Here's hoping Dillard's pregnancy is happy and healthy and that little Israel enjoys his last months with all the attention on him!
