Adorable celeb couple Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed became parents on July 25. And it seems like, within just the first few weeks of becoming a dad, Somerhalder couldn't be in more awe of his wife. The actor took to Instagram yesterday, Monday, August 21 to share Reed's stunning photos from her Fit Pregnancy and Baby cover shoot and share a loving note.

"Just a quick note to you my beautiful wife," Somerhalder wrote. "You are briefly napping on the other side of the room after being an amazing mom all night so you'll read this when you wake... seeing these images reminds me of those amazing 9 months that you sacrificed your whole being to grow our little one. The kindness, the beauty and organic nature of these photos makes me so very proud."

He went on to explain that she brought her own alluring twist to being an expectant mom. "You brought such fun and such power into our lives being pregnant but you literally brought the word sexy into pregnancy, we all see it," the Vampire Diaries star wrote. "Thank you for being my partner in this life and thank you for inspiring not just me but all others who read, hear or see what your soul gives us. Love, You [stet] husband."

So sweet!

Reed previously told Fit Pregnancy and Baby that she and Somerhalder were planning to take "the baby's first month for ourselves. Just the three of us, no visitors, and we’re turning off our phones too, so there’s no expectation for us to communicate … You don’t get those first 30 days back, and we want to be fully present." Although that vow been the target of some tongue-wagging, you have to admit that's just another way the celeb mom has made pregnancy -- and now, motherhood -- her very own. No wonder her husband is so enamored!

Congrats again to this new family of three!

My baby never slept well (especially through the night) until I started using the website - that website has been by far one of the best things I've ever got my hands on to get him to fall asleep quickly. Best time is 45 seconds from awake to asleep! Can’t imagine life without it! I heard about it through a kindergarten teacher who uses it to put to sleep a group of 30 children. Check it out!
