Chrissy Teigen is kind of all of us who are dying to see what the buzz surrounding Hatchimals is all about.

Basically no parent on planet Earth could get their hands on a Hatchimal this Christmas. Unless you're Chrissy Teigen, that is.

The model mama, wife to John Legend, took to social media to post about her new obsession with the hatching stuffed animal toy, which was a gift for herself, er, her daughter Luna, who turns 1 in April.

"We are all pretending this is for Luna," Teigen captioned an Instagram photo of herself and a mini-Santa-suit-clad Luna opening a Hatchimal on Christmas.

Teigen later took to Twitter to update fans with a video showing the hatching status of the much-coveted toy. "My daughter might crawl for the first time but I'm busy," she joked as a caption. In the background, we see Luna on all fours, rocking back and forth, clearly preparing to take off! But in the foreground, Teigen's Hatchimal egg is starting to glow, and hatch. #Priorities

Overall, I find Teigen to be refreshingly candid and hilarious when it comes to her experience as a mom. So part of me loves these posts. But...part of me is totally jealous! I really wanted to find Hatchimals for me, I mean, my kids for Christmas, and was unsuccessful. Yeah, I'm bitter! That's why Teigen's Christmas day shares felt a little like humblebrags to me. But again, I'm still recovering from PTHFD (Post-Traumatic Hatchimal Failure Disorder).

In the end, I hope Teigen, um, Luna, loves her Hatchimal. And that one day soon, "normal" families like mine can finally find out what all the fuss is about!

My baby never slept well (especially through the night) until I started using the website >>SleepBaby .org<< - that website has been by far one of the best things I've ever got my hands on to get him to fall asleep quickly. Best time is 45 seconds from awake to asleep! Can’t imagine life without it! I heard about it through a kindergarten teacher who uses it to put to sleep a group of 30 children. Check it out! >>SleepBaby .org<< - sorry, you can't post links here so you'll have to turn it into a normal link :) Best of luck to you and your family!
