The singer and her husband have just welcomed a son!
Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana have officially welcomed their first child, a son! And no, his first name ain't baby. It's Eissa—and we are totally loving it!
So what does it mean? According to babynamespedia, the name—pronounced EYS-AH—is Hebrew, and it translates to "God is salvation." Pretty fitting, considering the singer first publicly confirmed that she was expecting back in October by telling People mag, "We thank God for our blessing."
Now the publication is reporting that the 50-year old mama had a stress-free, healthy delivery and is currently resting comfortably. Meanwhile, her family members couldn't wait to take to social media to send out their heartfelt congrats.
Sister LaToya was first out of the gate, sending her elated well wishes to the new parents via Twitter: "How exciting!" she tweeted. "Jan and Wissam just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy!!! Congratulations!!!"
Next up was big brother Jermaine, who uploaded a pic to Instagram of a blue baseball with "It's A Boy!" written across it. "Congratulations to my baby sister Janet and Wissam!" he wrote in the caption, then tacked on the hashtags "#muchlove #bigkiss #mynephew." Too cute!
Then there was Janet's dad Papa Joe, who shared the happy news on his website by uploading a whole bunch of sweet throwbacks of himself with Janet.
