Chrissy Teigen Just Nailed a Weird Truth About Babies in This New Video of Luna

There is nothing quite like the sheer joy that comes from seeing your baby smile. In fact, once you've witnessed that beautiful look of adoration for the first time, you will pretty much do anything to get your little one to do it again.

It's why we make all those silly noises, contort our cheeks into fish faces, and throw our palms over our eyes for endless games of peek-a-boo. Because as every new parent eventually figures out, the more willing you are to make a fool of yourself, the greater the chance you have of being rewarded with a big toothless grin.

Just check out new mom Chrissy Teigen, who recently discovered that the devotion to entertaining your baby can make even a supermodel look, well, kind of goofy. In an adorable video that she posted on Instagram over the weekend, the Lip Sync Battle star channels her inner middle-school cheerleader with a bunch of silly dance moves in an attempt to elicit a smile from 6-month-old Luna, who is watching her mama's handiwork from her perch on dad John Legend's lap.

"The dumber you look, the happier they are," Teigen wrote in the caption.

Can't argue with that. In fact, in just one sentence, Teigen pretty much nails the way your perspective changes when you become a mom, from being focused on your own happiness, to totally focusing on the happiness of your kid—even if it makes you look like a weirdo.

A gorgeous, perfectly highlighted, on-trend French-braid-rocking weirdo. But still.
