Congratulations are in order for the Carters, who are now a party of five! Beyonce and Jay Z's twins have arrived! “Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends,” a source tells People. Welcome to the world, future style icons, musical superstars—with mom and dads' genes you two can do anything.
However, we don't have too many further details, including what day this past week was the day that the twins made their debut. but according to E!, sources say Jay Z and 5-year-old Blue Ivy were spotted at a Los Angeles area hospital on Thursday.
Queen Bey spoke with Elle back in April and shared her dreams for Blue Ivy, which we can probably safely assume extends to the twins. "I just want my child to be happy and healthy and have the opportunity to realize her dreams," she said. And yet, she says you've gotta go through the dark to experience the light. "Everyone experiences pain, but sometimes you need to be uncomfortable to transform," Beyonce shared. "Pain is not pretty, but I wasn't able to hold my daughter in my arms until I experienced the pain of childbirth." And now, she's holding her two little ones, and likely feeling that gorgeous transformation all over again.
And perhaps at some point, we can look forward to a family photoshoot to match the internet-breaking pregnancy announcement Bey made back in February? "We would like to share our love and happiness," she wrote. "We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes."
'Til we have even more details on the twins from Camp Carter—including their sure-to-be cool monikers—we'll be waiting with bated breath!
