Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter Gave His Newborn Son a Mythical Name
Backstreet's new mini-member has a powerful name thanks to new dad Nick Carter.
Hey "everybody," Backstreet's back, alright!
A new mini boy-bander is on the scene, as Nick Carter officially became a dad this week. The Backstreet Boy and his wife, actress Lauren Kitt Carter, welcomed a son on Tuesday, and named him Odin Reign, Billboard confirms.
Odin is an old Norse mythology name and projects power and strength.
We don't yet know too many details about Odin's birth, nor have his parents released a photo, but reportedly Lauren birthed him at home in the water after 30 hours of labor. Um, the Backstreet Boys may have won American Music Awards, but Nick's wife deserves her own award for being a warrior!
We also know the couple's son weighed in at 8 pounds and 11 ounces.
Nick previously talked about how he knew he was ready to become a dad to Entertainment Tonight, saying "I don't want to get all sappy, [but] she's the reason I felt comfortable, and I knew that she would be the perfect mother. She would be able to help me teach our child all the things that he needs to learn."
Aww. Well here's wishing this adorable new family-of-three every happiness as they enjoy their early days together. They go by so fast!
At least the singer won't have to ponder "the meaning of being lonely" anymore. In fact, soon he may long for a quiet moment!
What do you think of the Carters' baby name choice?
