Valeria

Feminine form of Valerius and the name of a 3rd-century saint. It fell from the popularity chart in 1977, but returned in 1985 following the release of the 1982 movie "Conan the Barbarian," featuring the character, "Valeria," a strong female warrior, alongside "Conan" played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was also inspired by actress Valeria Golino and her performance as "Susanna" in the 1988 release of "Rain Man." Jumped to its current peak in 2006 because of its popular "ia" ending, and association to Valerie, a top 200 name.
