Kenneth is an English name with a fab meaning—handsome—and it's been on a very slow decline. It peaked at #13 on the popularity list in 1939, and it's currently at #175 on the top 1000 U.S. names.
Ken has quite a bit of pop-culture cred, thanks to Barbie's perpetual beau, a slew of pop-songsters (we're talking Kenny Loggins, Kenny Rogers and Kenny Chesney), designer Kenneth Cole, and master thespian Kenneth Branagh.
It's maybe a little staid and old-fashioned, but I think it deserves a second look, a la Walter.
What do you think of the name Kenneth? Cool enough to dust off or destined for future obscurity?
