Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie is officially a mom of two! The program's Instagram feed announced the arrival of the 44-year-old's son early Friday morning.
"Welcome to the world, Charles Max Feldman! Baby Charley was born at 8:59 am on Thursday, weighing 9 lbs, 8 oz. Congrats to Savannah, Mike, and Vale!"
I find it truly interesting that after selecting a unique baby name for her daughter, this time around Guthrie and her husband Mike Feldman chose a very traditional moniker, which happens to be the 75th most popular name for boys in 2016 (Max is even more popular, coming in at No. 63 for boys). Perhaps Charles is a family name? We will have to wait to hear the full thought process behind her choice once Guthrie has had a chance to fully recover from the birth and spend some precious one-on-one time with baby Charley.
On a side note, might I commend Guthrie on being brave enough to share a makeup-free photo of herself right after birth? She looks amazing, but totally different from how we are used to seeing her on TV. Um, kind of like a real woman who just pushed out a baby... This actually isn't the first time the anchor has gone au natural postpartum, though, as the first photo she posted after delivering Vale looked almost identical.
In any event, congrats to the entire Feldman family! Here's wishing them every happiness as they enjoy their first days as a foursome!
