It's a boy for Elementary actress Lucy Liu (AKA Dr. Joan Watson), who welcomed a son via surrogate. And I'm loving the name she picked for her brand new baby: Rockwell Lloyd!

Rockwell is a British name that means "rocky spring." There's a personal tie for Lucy to that baby name, as it's the surname of actor Sam Rockwell, one of her Charlie's Angels costars. Its biggest claim to fame is classic American illustrator Norman Rockwell. And it could come with its own cool set of nicknames: Rock, Rocky, or even Will. It's never been in the top 1000 in the U.S., so if you're looking for a unique name that's not too out there, this is a good choice.

Lloyd is a Welsh name that means "gray," and after nearly 50 years in the top 100, it started dropping out of popularity in the early 1940s, and dropped out of the top 1000 entirely at the turn of the 21st century. But with other "old man" baby names like SilasWalter and Vernon coming back into vogue, it could be ready for its second shot at fame.

In all, I'm loving the name: It's strong and unique, yet not too crazy. What do you think of the baby name Lucy picked? Would you consider choosing it for your son?
