Brittany

From the name of the region in the northwest of France, called French Bretagne, named for the Briton people who fled to that area after the Anglo-Saxon invasion of England. The entire region was later called "Britain." The name was influenced starting in the 1990s by singer and actress Brittany Murphy and pop singer Britney Spears, who uses a form of the name.
