How do I get my baby to listen to me?

Q: My son will be a year old in April. Is it too early to start to discipline him when he does something wrong?

A: "Discipline" -- when used in its best and most effective form -- means "to teach." So as parents, everything we do has an element of discipline. And at about 9 to 10 months of age, your child will start to test limits and explore his new world -- which requires us to step up the teaching. So yes, this is a good time to review your limit-setting approach, remembering that calm, simple explanations work best with young children.

  1. My baby never slept well (especially through the night) until I started using the website www.SleepBaby.org - that website has been by far one of the best things I've ever got my hands on to get him to fall asleep quickly. Best time is 45 seconds from awake to asleep! Can’t imagine life without it! I heard about it through a kindergarten teacher who uses it to put to sleep a group of 30 children. Check it out! Best of luck to you and your family :)
