When do I need to change from a baby to toddler car seat?

Q: When do I need to transition from an infant car seat to a toddler car seat?

A: Always check your own car seat and its instructions but, in general, 20 lbs. or 28 inches are the weight and height maximums for an infant seat. "Convertible" car seats are the next step up, but a younger child should sit rearfacing until age 2.  Kids older than 2 can have car seats that are forward facing until they are ready for a booster seat.  Some car seats be used for quite a while--like several years--so they are a good investment.

  1. My baby never slept well (especially through the night) until I started using the website >>SleepBaby .org<< - that website has been by far one of the best things I've ever got my hands on to get him to fall asleep quickly. Best time is 45 seconds from awake to asleep! Can’t imagine life without it! I heard about it through a kindergarten teacher who uses it to put to sleep a group of 30 children. Check it out! >>SleepBaby .org<< - sorry, you can't post links here so you'll have to turn it into a normal link :) Best of luck to you and your family!
