-So they are about to send me home and my water broke. And I was like, yeah! We were cheering that my water broke. I lost my mucus plug on a Sunday before and so I'm thinking, oh, you know, like here we-- like it's-- she's coming and I was definitely ready for her to be here. Wednesday during the day, I started having contractions and they were about every 20 minutes. My doctor said just to wait until they became closer together or if my water broke. Wednesday I went to the hospital. They were about 5 minutes apart or what I thought was 5 minutes apart. I got there. They said I was only 3 cm and they sent me home. And then Friday we went to the hospital again 'cause I was like this has got to be it. We got there and they again told me I was only 3 cm. At 6:30 p.m. on Friday, my water broke and we were so excited 'cause I didn't have to go home. I was just so thrilled that, okay, finally we'll get somewhere. My contractions ended up regulating themselves and they got close together. At about an hour later, I had the urge to push and, you know, the nurses were like, no, like there's no way. It's your first baby. I go, no, like I think you're probably checking. They checked and I was 9.5 cm. I started pushing at 9 and 9 p.m. and she was born at 9:38. So, once I got going-- once my water broke that night, it was pretty smooth sailing. After three long days, Lina was finally born at 9:38 p.m. on October 25th. It was so quick that I don't think either of us had any time to, you know, freak out about it or we just kind of like, boom, boom, boom and we were-- just went-- went with the flow and that was-- it's great.
