Parents are often split between whether or not their children should be paid for chores. I personally don't think that children should be paid for chores that are part of our daily lives such as making your bed or bringing your dishes to the table. However, if there's something special that your child does or takes the initiative to do like washing the car or raking the leaves, that might warrant a special reward or a special treat, but it's really important that they take care of their day-to-day chores first.
