You should worry if your child shows serious signs of illness associated with a fever. Some of these symptoms include severe irritability, excessive sleepiness, severe vomiting episodes, severe headache, severe neck pain, or seizures. If your child is less than three months of age and has a fever, you should notify your pediatrician. If your child shows any of these worrisome symptoms, you should call your pediatrician's office. Many pediatric offices have after hours numbers that you can call if they show any worrisome symptoms. It's important to remember for any further questions to call your pediatrician's office.
