Crafts for Kids: Cozy Critters
If your munchkins are looking for a new stuffed buddy, create a cozy fall critter with these easy instructions.
-Cold days call for cozy warm fabrics. Make these cute and cushy critters with your little ones. To create these stuffed animals, you will need: Felt, a pencil, templates, scissors, felt glue, polyester stuffing, binder clips, buttons, a needle, and thread. First, download and print a squirrel template at parents.com/squirrel then cut out and trace the squirrel shape on to 2 contrasting colors of felt. Next, cut out the felt pieces and glue them together at the edges, pressing firmly. Make sure to leave a section open to fill the squirrel with stuffing. Once the glue is dry, stuff the body and then glue it shut. Use binder clips to seal the opening. Cut 2 almond shape pieces of felt and sew a button on to each. Glue them on for your squirrel's eyes. Finally, glue on the felt arms. Now, you're ready to snuggle with a new fall friend.
