How to Make Feathered Friends
Turn colorful chenille stems into feathery finger puppets.
Get your kinds on the mood for Mardi Growl, these feathery ring puppets. They're fun, festive and really easy to make. For this craft, you'll need chenille stems, extra large googly eyes, four small and two extra large pom-poms, hot glue, scissors and feathers. Twist one chenille stem into a pretzel shape to create two finger holes and two bird antenna. Twist the half chenille stem around the top to create two additional antenna. Top each chenille stem with a small pom-pom, secure with glue. Glue a googly eye to each extra large pom-pom. Then glue pom-poms just above the finger holes. Attach feathers at the back of pom-poms to create bird plumage and secure with glue. And there you have it. Just a few simple steps, all it takes to create this fancy feathered friends.
