How to Make an Angel Christmas Ornament
These heavenly ornaments are so easy to make for Christmas. Watch this video to learn how!
-Hi, I'm Amanda Kingloff from Parents Magazine. Today, I'm gonna show you how to make this absolutely adorable little angel ornament that you can make with your kids. For this project, you will need 2, 4-inch white doilies, scissors, a thin marker, a hot glue gun or craft glue, a 3/4 inch wooden bead, white string or yarn, wire, wire snips and a thin string. To make the angel's body, fold the doily into quarters. At the top point, trim with scissors to make shoulders and then narrow our point so it can fit snuggly into the bead. Just set that aside for now. -Cut a piece of wire about 3 to 4 inches long. Wrap the white yarn a few times around 3 or 4 your fingers or if your child is doing it, she can try wrapping it around the bottle of the glue. -Line up the yarn in the center of the wire and twist a small loop around the yarn. Snip the loops of the yarn. Now, take your bead and insert a point of the wire into the top hole then glue the point of the doily into the bottom hole. Add a dab of glue to secure the wire flat to the back of the dress. -Fold another doily in half and cut off the lace part. Fold the lace strip into quarters and glue the crease to cover the wire. To add the face of the angel, just take your black pen and draw two eyes and a mouth. Twist the top of the wire into a loop and add a thin string to hang it from your tree. And that's it. Just a few simple steps to make this sweet, little angel ornament for your Christmas tree.
