-Chocolate is the eighth wonder- warm chocolate, the ninth. Just seconds in the microwave and indulgence is served. Betty Crocker Warm Delights. You're just 3 minutes from heaven. -You're watching Real Moms, Real Moments on Parents TV. -Hi, everyone. We're here at the Betty Crocker Kitchens. It's summertime and our real mom knows how to throw a great barbecue. Growing up watching her parents entertain, inspired her to return the favor. She calls the shots, she cooks the food and makes sure every barbecue is a sure fire hit. -My name is Tanya and I'm a real mom. Today I'm here with Justin and we're baking brownie goody bars. -Whoaw. -Today we're having a summer barbecue and I'm hoping the weather holds up. It's kind of drizzling right now, but it's supposed to get sunny. Now we gotta put in some syrup. Here comes. Usually when I'm in the kitchen, Justin's right there looking at what I'm doing. So today with the brownie goody bars, he's really gonna enjoy getting right in there in helping mom out. Good job. Let's crack our eggs now, okay? I've picked the brownie goody bars for the dessert for the summer barbecue today because it was really easy to prepare, but also it's a great summertime solution. Let's stir it up. Can you see? This gonna be delicious. -Yes. -I grew up with a family of 5 and my parents were constantly entertaining. We always had cousins and aunts and uncles over. We had block parties. There were always thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. So watching them entertain and watching my mom really focus on the presentation and just sit back at the end of the day and draw her guest, that's kind of what I do now. Here we go. -That's a ocean. -An ocean? An ocean of brownie mix? -Yeah. -When I picked up the Betty Crocker box today, it just took me back to the good old days with my mom and brothers and my sisters in the kitchen. And just the smell, the aroma of home baked goods. This is a really easy recipe. I feel sort of silly that I haven't tried it before, but it wasn't intimidating at all. It was very easy, basically just adding in the brownie mix and the water, the eggs, stirring it up, putting into the pan, putting into the oven and then adding on the layers, the vanilla frosting- I would never think of vanilla frosting with brownies. Then adding in the peanut which is great 'cause they're salted peanuts, so it's sort of adding the sweet with the salty and then adding in the melted chocolate and the peanut butter, it is really layers and layers of just wonderful, wonderful flavors. Justin is 3 years old and he is the light of my life. Justin is super creative. He loves using imagination and he loves seeing things to come together, so standing by my side and watching things come together in the mixing bowl and seeing the end result is right up his alley. -That looks amazing. -I really enjoy baking with Justin today. It reminded me a lot of baking with my mom back in the day. I can see and now I can appreciate how much love and passion she put into it and I hope that Justin takes that with him. Good? Yeah? Good. Can I have a kiss? -Ready to bake your own brownie goody bars like today's Real Mom? Visit bakelifesweeter.com for this recipe and more. Thank you for watching Parents TV. Our families. Our lives.
