FFounded in California by German-American businessman William Voit in 1922, the Voit Corporation is a sporting-goods company best known for developing the first inflatable rubber ball and advancing the manufacturing of athletic gear. Recreational-equipment company AMF now owns Vo
it, which is based in Mexico City, Mexico.
Voit makes a table-soccer game (known as foosball) that is a staple in entertainment rooms around the country. It has a gray laminated finish and black and white accents for a classic look to match any home. The playing field is silver, with black rods, and alternating silver and black players. The game uses 26 players on two 13-man teams, three-man goalies, manual scoring, automatic ball return, and two foosballs.
Another favorite, Voit's air-hockey table, is a top-of-the-line game with a slick playing surface designed to keep the puck moving fast. The playing field is black acrylic, and the game comes with four pushers and three pucks. In addition to arcade games and foosball tables, Voit carries a number of official-size soccer balls in varying colors and designs.
