08/31/2010 This colorful upright piano features 25 keys and two full octaves. The littlest musicians will enjoy exploring concepts... of high and low notes, loud and soft. More experienced "maestros" can follow the color-coded songbook to learn nine child-friendly favorites! Melissa and Doug Lean to play piano We bough this piano as a Christmas gift for my three year old son. I do agree on the price is a little too expensive, but I rather buy this than action figures toys that don't teach anything positive. My son likes to play with music instruments is better to support him with something durable and benefit able. He will learn and play with something that is fun, and enjoyable. I would recommend this product to a friend. by Esmya30Charlestown, MA | Mon, Oct 24, 2011 via Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag Good but so expensive! I really love music and know that exposing children to music while they're young is good for them. However, I only have this because it was a gift. Not because I would pay this much for a piano. I have seen cheaper pianos, so I'd probably buy those if. I live in a small apartment, so I don't have space for a big piano. But this is a perfect size. Plus it's a good toy and I don't have to worry about my kids ruining some expensive type of instrument. I agree with the previous poster that music really charges up your brain and it must help kids in the long run. I think this piano is a great way for kids to start a band! One of them will play the piano while another one sings, and then they take turns. They also like to turn on the CD player and play the piano while listening to their favorite songs. Definitely worth the money! This Melissa and Doug is made very well and I do not have to worry about my kids breaking it. My son has even played the piano by sitting on it, and it still has worked just fine. Playing music is good for children and it helps them develop good musical talents, so this is a great buy!
